| There are a number of
beautiful ball gowns available the week of the ball.
We prefer no hoops for the 1876 Grandball.

Dress Victorian, wear your uniform or wear a viintage

Women's
ball gowns consisted of fully gored skirts worn over horsehair or
crinoline petticoats. Bustles extending across the backside and over
the hips. The full hoop was completely out of style. Formal attire was
often cut low, off the shoulders, and heavily trimmed with contrasting
lace, bows, flowers, and over-skirts. |
